the donation will help the Legion complete its roof renovations

One of the best parts of being a successful local business is having the opportunity to give back to the community. And in October Careforce once again showed its cooperative pride by donating $3,000 to the Kentville Royal Canadian Legion. The donation – presented by cheque to Branch President Paul Gourlay by Careforce General Manager Debbie Raine - marks the end of Careforce’s summer campaign which raised funds to help the Legion shingle the roof of its River Street building.
To raise the money, Careforce held a community yard sale and ticket auction, and received cash and in-kind donations from many local businesses (special thanks to Family 1st Medical, Evergreen Home for Special Care, and Abs-o-lute Health Club). Careforce’s employees also combined to donate $947 from their bi-weekly paycheques, showing that generosity starts from within. We would like to extend a sincere thanks to everyone who helped us in our quest to support the Kentville Legion – it truly is a win-win!
